Do you offer one time pest control services?

This is entirely dependent upon the type of pest and how long the problem has been going on. Getting rid of pests is not typically an overnight occurrence, because of the nature, behavior, and resilience of many pests. A few pest examples of this are rodents, cockroaches, and ants. These are a few of the pests that require multiple treatments and possibly changing some habits suggested by our technicians before the problem is gone. There are instances where we will do one time services. More often than not, these involve removing nests of pests from the stinging insect family (wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets).

What are the benefits of ongoing pest control?

Among the variety of benefits of ongoing pest control, one of the big reasons that affects your bottom line, is that professional pest prevention can be far less expensive than taking care of an infestation. Some pests can be extremely challenging and expensive to get rid of. Ongoing preventative measures ensure that infestation has a much lower chance of occurring, and a high chance that the issue will be taken care of before it grows into a big pest problem.

How does Green Pest Management help prevent pests?

To ensure their survival, pests have been known to adapt to pest control products so that they don’t have the desired effect on their populations. Since we know this about pests, we rotate the products we use to ensure that they don’t develop an immunity to our products—keeping our treatments effective in handling your residential or commercial pest control.

What are the prices for your pest control service?

The short answer is: our standard quarterly pest control service rates, which cover a wide variety of common pests found in the greater Delaware area and surrounding states, are based on the square footage of your home. The long answer is that it depends on the type of pest control you are looking for. Our mosquito and tick pest control treatment is based on the acreage size of your property. Our termite pest control treatment pricing depends on a few factors, like how large the nest is, the square feet of area that needs to be treated, and a few other factors—all of which is determined on a case by case basis by our licensed technicians who are authorized to make such judgements when they inspect your property. For standard pest control solutions give us a call and we can give you a free quote over the phone and answer any of your pest control questions.

What products does Green Pest Management use?

These aren’t your typical products that you can grab off the shelf at any hardware store. We use a variety of top of the line products and most current methods proven in the field to take care of your pests. Our products are best handled under supervision of licensed technicians who are knowledgeable and experienced in treating pests.

We also offer a green pest control application that can be used on residential properties. Keep in mind, these green pest control solutions are organic so they don’t work the same way that our other products do, and they typically take longer to handle your pest control problems.

Are the products used kid and pet friendly?

Our products are pet kid and pet friendly. We just ask that when our pest control technicians service your business or residence that you let it dry before interacting with the surfaces that were treated. Our technicians who have a wealth of knowledge can let you know how long to let it dry for, and answer any of your pest control questions regarding your treatments.

Why do I need pest control in the winter months?

Seasonal changes create environments which cause many pests to behave differently. For example, we see an increased need for rodent removal because the fall and winter months bring colder weather which drives them to find shelter and food.

A large part of a pest’s life cycle is to reproduce to ensure their species survival. Many pests are drawn to man-made structures because it provides the right conditions and a safe place to lay eggs which can survive through the winter. Preventative pest control can decrease the population of egg laying pests and minimize the growth of colonies before they become a real problem.

What pests are covered in Green Pest Management’s standard quarterly service?

Our standard quarterly pest control service covers a variety of pests which includes: Rodents (rats and mice), ants, cockroaches, wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, spiders, silverfish, pill-bugs, crickets, centipedes, millipedes, and earwigs. We do offer termite exterminator and termite monitoring options, seasonal mosquito and tick control during the spring and summer months, bed bug pest control, flea control and a variety of other pests. Give us a call about any other pest activity you are seeing and we’ll formulate a customized pest control plan for your property.

Do you treat for bees or do beehive removal?

Sometimes it’s hard to determine what type of bees you are dealing with and the distinction needs to be made between honey bees and carpenter bees. Carpenter bees are wood destroying bees and can damage property by boring into wooden structures. We do offer carpenter bee extermination options. Honey bees on the other hand are a very necessary part of our environment and we don’t typically treat honey bees. We also understand that there may be cases where honey bees make their nest in your property becoming a danger to you and your family. For these cases we suggest hiring a beekeeper who is trained at removing the nest from your property and keeping that nest alive and healthy. If you are looking to hire a beekeeper in your area, give us a call and we can recommend one.
